Board concerned about revised budget forecast

After passing a new operating levy referendum last year, the most recent revised budget forecast showed a deficit of over half a million dollars, the board and administration expressed their concern. Part of the problem is that the board decided to hold down the amount of the levy to be taken the first year of the referendum. Taking that into consideration, the amount would be reduced considerably. However, adding the full amount of the levy to the deficit still will leave the district about $300,000 short of the proposed budget.
