A cold, winter morning doesn’t seem to be the right kind of day to remove the wool from a flock of sheep, but that’s just what Roger Knudson, sheep farmer 3 miles east of Westbrook was doing in mid-December. It may seem like a cruel way to treat his flock, but he was helping the flock of pregnant ewes with their wellbeing, as well as that of the 1, 2, 3, or 4 lambs they will deliver in about six weeks.

Please see this week’s edition of the Westbrook Sentinel Tribune for the full story and more pictures.
