Boyden-Hull’s FFA teams: good judges of cattle, hogs, sheeps, and goats

SIOUX FALLS – Seventeen members of the Boyden-Hull FFA earned high finishes in the Sioux Empire Livestock Judging Contest Saturday, Jan. 26, at the W.H. Lyons Fairgrounds’ Expo building.

They judged cattle, hogs, sheep and goats in eight different classes.

The team of Pablo Garcia, Matt Van Otterloo, Brandon Heikes and Gene Rygaard placed fourth overall among the 60 teams in the contest, and brought home a trophy.

The other three teams also finished high, as follows: Team I — Evan Nilles, Jamison TeSlaa, Dillan Willer, Matt Hansmann and Quinn Savage, 24th overall; Team 2 — Austin Mosier, Katlyn Harman, Paul Meyer and Nichole Reinke, 20th overall; and Team 4 — Dusty Woeber, Bradyn Van Voorst, Eric Visscher and Jonah Fedders, 22nd overall.
