Students work to improve their school

A group of seventh graders—Ava Lien, Riley Parker, Chue Fue Vang and Casey Brown—had been looking for ways to improve their school. “They decided to tackle a recycling project in our lunchroom and set up a place to recycle milk cartons,” said Principal Sam Woitalewicz, who is their Life Skills teacher this semester. “They called Waste Management and figured out that they could recycle the cartons as long as they rinsed them out first.”
