Gary VanWinkle hadn’t even heard of IgA nephropathy until the day he was diagnosed with it about six years ago.

“I didn’t know it, but I was really tired and didn’t have a lot of energy,” VanWinkle says. “I didn’t realize I even had an issue until I had my first kidney stone, and then I ended up being in the hospital for it.”
