Mayport Ice Dawgs win Boys Jr. Gold NDAHA State Championship

This past weekend the Mayport Ice Dawgs hockey teams returned home from Sidney, MT as the Boys Jr. Gold NDAHA State Champions.

In the first round, the Ice Dawgs were set to take on the Richland Rangers who were shut out in a 9-0 win on Thursday, Feb. 28.

Mayport scored three goals to gain the lead in the first period. They followed with four more goals in the second period and held on to the lead. The Ice Dawgs defense shut the Rangers down for the remainder of the game. In the final period Mayport scored another two goals and took the game.
